Easy Peasy Cherry Pie Nice Cream
Homemade cherry pie filling is delicious, but if you’re not making a pie, what the heck do you do with it? You can always try Mini Cherry Pies, Cheesecake, Mini Dutch Babies, or Cherry Pie Nice Cream! I love that nice cream is super easy to whip up and I don’t feel guilty about indulging in this frozen treat. Bonus points, it’s dairy free and vegan.

Bananas For Days
My freezer is always overflowing with frozen bananas. We’re moving in a few weeks and I really need to use them all up. Josh had to stop me from freezing more the other day, otherwise we’d never be able to eat them all! This Cherry Pie Nice Cream is a fun and tasty way to take advantage of my abundant supply.

Extra Cherry Pie Filling
Making cherry pie filling from scratch is actually crazy easy. I love to whip it up to top some desserts, or pancakes, which means I sometimes end up with extras. But having extra cherry pie filling is a problem that I’d love to have every week.
You could easily switch up this nice cream by using a different fruit in the pie filling recipe. Try strawberries or blueberries for another tasty flavor! What other fruit would you like to use? Since you can use fresh or frozen fruit, the options are pretty endless.

We All Scream For Cherry Pie Nice Cream
Nice cream is a great alternative to traditional ice cream, but the banana taste is very strong and can be overpowering. I like to add extracts to help tame this issue, but it doesn’t always work well. It also helps to use strong flavors such as cocoa powder, matcha powder, or a lot of cherry pie filling.

It was so easy to just blend up all of my ingredients in my mini food processor when I’m making a single serving. If you’re using 2 or more bananas, you’ll definitely want to use a larger food processor.
Enjoy!
Cherry Pie Nice Cream is a fool-proof recipe for creating a rather healthy frozen treat. It’s a great way to use up frozen bananas and any remaining cherry pie filling you have. The endless flavor combinations are fantastic and it’s a ton of fun to play around with. Let me know what nice cream flavors you come up with and don’t forget to subscribe to Bakes & Blunders!
