Fall Seasonal Food Guide
Fall is here! Huzzah! I love the abundance of fresh produce you can find during the Summer, but Fall will always be my favorite time of the year. This is when we dig out all of those warm, cozy spices and eat ourselves into a coma with generous helpings of potatoes and pie.

Eating Seasonally
We may have just left the season of fresh berries and ripe tomatoes, but Fall has plenty of delicious fruits and veggies to offer us. Personally, I have struggled to know what is in season this time of the year, and I’m sure I’m not the only one!

Let me give you some inspiration and guidance navigating the grocery store this season. This list is brief and by no means complete. My recipe suggestions should get you started on the path to cozy food this autumn.
Fall Flavors
As the leaves change colors, start thinking about warm, cozy flavors. The fresh fruits and veggies of Fall are perfect carriers of spices! Your recipes are going to be hearty and satisfying to shake off the coming chill of Winter.

While spices might not count as seasonal produce, they are an iconic part of Fall baking. What would pumpkin pie be without cinnamon? Cardamom adds a delicious warmth to cakes, cookies, and bread. Don’t even get me started on my love of ginger!!

This is so helpful to have a seasonal guide for produce – and suggested recipes. I think not many people think about garlic season these days! Pear tart, here I come.
Colleen
I know I didn’t know that garlic had a season!
